100 Circles
Circle XI, ink on paper by Evgeniia Kazarezova, Circle of Life project
The series of 100 artworks (ongoing) developed in response to a period of biographical transition shaped by motherhood and migration. The project reflects a time of structural change and the repetitive rhythms of everyday life.
Produced in a consistent format and limited to one material and one color, the works operate within a self-imposed formal constraint. This reduction establishes a controlled framework in which variation emerges through process.
While the works may initially appear similar, each piece articulates subtle differences in density, movement, and internal structure. Repetition functions here as both method and metaphor, echoing the cyclical nature of daily routines while foregrounding singularity within recurrence.
The series investigates how limitation can generate expansion, examining the potential for visual complexity and transformation within defined parameters. Through sustained engagement with constraint, the project reflects on resilience, adaptation, and the reconfiguration of meaning through artistic practice.
The series positions itself as both a formal exploration of material process and a consideration of how lived experience can be reshaped through making.
